Committed to our Community
I am running for the Sacramento City Unified School District Trustee Area 4 because I am committed to serving a community I have been a part of and loved for 40 years.
As a parent of a child enrolled in the Sacramento City Unified School District, I am involved in her well-being by participating as a member of the PTO, volunteering in the classroom, and through extracurricular sports. I will bring a unique perspective sharing our experience navigating a new school year with distance learning and would ensure all of our children get the best possible start in life.
I have been a business professional in the community for over 20 years and am a Senior Communications Specialist for the state-wide non-profit, California State Retirees. I am also a leader for the Colonial Heights Neighborhood Association where I have lived with my family for 5 years.
I am passionate about addressing quality-of-education, equity, and fiscal challenges within our district. I am prepared to compassionately tackle the issues facing us and represent our community. I look forward to working with you and for you.

I am running for SCUSD Board Trustee Area 4 because I believe in:
Safety
I’m a parent. I understand these are uncertain times but our number one priority should always be our children and teachers.
Standards
SCUSD standards must be creatively maintained with resources and support from the district, teachers, parents, community, and the city.
Community
Being active in my community is important to me and my family.
I am a member of the PTO, a leader in the Colonial Heights Neighborhood Association, a member of UAW 2350, and a lifelong resident of Sacramento.
Community engagement is an essential part of a truly successful public school.
